Carrie Fisher Plastic Surgery

American actress, novelist, screenwriter and performance artist Carrie Fisher, best known for her portrayal of Princess Leia in the original "Star Wars" trilogy, is rumored to have had plastic surgery to improve her image.

Fisher, 56, is speculated to have had botox injections, facelift, neck lift, dermal fillers like Restylane, eye lift and even earlobe surgery!

According to reports, Fisher recently lost 50 pounds in a bid to fit back into the notorious gold bikini, but after her weight loss and appearance on national television,  many viewers weren't looking at her new body, but what seemed to be a new face as well.

It seems that fillers like Restylane were placed in her lip and cheeks. Her eyes seem very pulled, an indication of an over zealous eye lift. Her fuller face that debuted with her thinner body is likely a result of also getting Botox injections to smooth out her forehead, the space between her eyes and crow's feet.

Some entertainment blogs have talked about the possibility of her undergoing a mini face lift operation, mainly focusing around the eyes, which appear to be pulled a little tight in these pictures…

The question is: "What plastic surgeon experts believe about Carrie Fisher's plastic surgery?"

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer was quoted as saying: "It does look like Carrie Fisher has had a face, neck and eyelid lift. Her neck and jaw line appear tighter and smoother. Her eye lids are more obvious and appear slightly over done."

"Carrie Fisher has lost a lot of weight and it was becoming apparent in her face. She has a rejuvenated look now and appears to have had a facelift, eyelid lift (Blepharoplasty), dermal fillers to her lips and cheeks and Botox to her forehead. She looks good and much more youthful," Dr. Michael Salzhauer explained.

Celebrity plastic surgeon in New York City Dr. David Shafer revealed: "If anything, it looks like a combination of fillers and Botox. If she had a facelift, I think she could have had a much nicer result."

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California stated: "Carrie Fisher appears to have had a minimally invasive facelift, Botox, facial fillers, and possibly a browlift. Overall, her look is natural and any work appears to have been performed conservatively."

Dr. Vince Afsahi, a dermatologist in Newport Beach and Tustin and a clinical assistant professor of dermatology at USC, notices signs of cosmetic surgery: "Her lips look plumped a bit, perhaps with a filler such as Juvederm. Her laugh lines and marrionette lines appear softened as well. The jowel area is reduced, perhaps with being pulled a bit with a face lift. Overall her skin appears even in texture and tone, which is often the result of fractional CO2 (laser) resurfacing. Don't forget that the right make up and hair can do wonders!"

Dr. John Di Saia, a plastic surgeon in San Clemente, believes that Fisher probably had a nose job in "the distant past."

"More recently she looks (facically) a bit on the puffy side so I'll surmise that fillers have had something to do with this. Her facial movements are a bit weak and not even so likely she has added some Botulinum toxin. She seems a good example of how people can look at bit tweaked when fillers and Botox are used to excess. Too much plastics whether it be surgery or the non-surgical alternatives can make people look freaky,"  Dr. John Di Saia noted.

Dr. Lorrie Klein, a dermatologist in Laguna Niguel notices signs of fillers, too, or possibly even cheek implants. "Her eyebrows appear very low so she may have had her forehead treated with Botox which relaxed it so much that she can't hold her eyebrows up or perhaps she needs a surgical brow lift or some Botox injected under her eyebrows to achieve a  "Botox brow lift,"" Dr. Klein explained.

Dr. Edward Jonas Domanskis, a plastic surgeon in Newport Beach thinks Fisher had a facelift about 5-7 years ago, as well as a nose job years earlier. "If she wanted to look the best she could at this time, then I would recommend a repeat facelift and possibly a small incision(endoscopic) forehead lift. Also, she is an excellent candidate for a fractionated CO2 laser resurfacing of her face, neck and décolletage, which would limit her "down" time to about 10 days. I would also recommend that she have her earlobes reduced," Dr. Domanskis advised.

Michigan-based plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn was quoted as saying: "Has she had a facelift? Not recently, unless it was a pretty crappy one. Her neck has some droopiness that typically is treated during a facelift. If she didn't do her homework and had one of those phony baloney lunchtime facelifts then her neck might look this way, but I'll give her the benefit of a doubt!"
