American singer, actress, doll designer and a member of the show business family "The Osmonds" Marie Osmond (full name: Olive Marie Osmond) is rumored to have had plastic surgery to turn back the hands of time.
Osmond, 53, is estimated to have had botox injections, skin peels, facelift, brow lift, neck lift, nose job, lip fillers like Restylane or Juvederm and filler injections like Sculptra in her cheeks.
Osmond admitted to having non invasive procedures like Botox and skin peels, along with other, more maintenance inclined procedures.
Marie admitted to Prevention Magazine that she was thinking of more invasive plastic surgery. "We cherish youth more than we do wisdom. Will I do it? I'm sure. Nobody wants to have a saggy jowl. Is it bad to do? I don't think anything is bad if it makes you feel better," Osmond was quoted as saying, explaining: " I've had a HydraFacial, which is a non-laser skin resurfacing. I had a second procedure, which was done with infrared light; it tightens the skin and stimulates collagen to make your face look more toned. And I use a lot of sunscreen."
It appears that Osmond at her 50s believes that despite how many hours you are working out, only plastic surgery can fix things like jowls or reduce wrinkles.
Celebrity watchers insist though that Marie Osmond has had more plastic surgery procedures than she admits.
According to some plastic surgeons experts Marie Osmond has likely had a face or forehead lift to help tightened out her skin and erase wrinkles.
Osmond turned heads when she appeared in 2011 at the 80th Anniversary of the Hollywood Christmas Parade. Marie was accused by many media outlets that she now looks like more doll-like than the toys being donated for the holidays by the "Marine Toys For Tots" charity she was supporting.
"Marie appears to have undergone a startling transformation," celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn revealed to Radar Online in an exclusive interview.
"Her eyebrows are excessively arched, likely from Botox injections. Her lips resemble the classic "trout pout" where the upper lip is excessively plumped in comparison to the lower lip," Dr. Youn explained, adding that it may be from Juvederm injections.
However, Dr. Youn considers her transformation is caused by something more aggressive than lasers, facials and sunscreen.
"The skin of her lower eyelids is smooth and wrinkle-free, possibly due to a lower eyelid lift, and her nasolabial folds (wrinkles from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth) are blunted, likely due to injections of Restylane," Dr. Youn claimed.
"Finally, the skin of her face is pristine - it's as smooth as a marble counter-top! I suspect she's undergone laser treatments, such as the new Syneron eTwo laser," Dr. Youn concluded.
There are many fans of Osmond who think that she appears barely recognizable as she seems completely fake and plastic-looking. The good thing is that she hasn't gone overboard with plastic surgery except for the new lips which are the most noticeable feature on her face!
Her face is smooth and wrinkle-free, a possible sign of botox injections and facelift.
Her eyebrows are excessively arched, an indication of botox injections.
Osmond's lips are over-filled and odd-shaped as her bottom lip is far too large and puffy and her top lip has a very unnatural shape to it.
Marie's nose is smaller and more pinched, a sign of a nose job.
Osmond obviously opted for the sexy cat-eye look, but this is a little overboard! Marie probably had a blepharoplasty procedure (eyelid surgery) and a lateral canthopexy (surgery to lift the corner of the eye), both of which look overdone.
There are some plastic surgeons who believe that Osmond has gotten a body countouring like liposuction.
Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer was quoted as saying: "Marie Osmond has transformed her look over the years. Weight loss does have a lot to do with it, but so does her cosmetic surgeon. She appears to use Botox to her face, dermal fillers such as Sculptra to her cheeks, and Restylane or Juvederm to her lips, her nose appears refined and her eyelids remarkably perfect for her age. Weight loss is great for your health and your body, but sometimes it can make you look older in the face. She may have also had a facelift creating her youthful look."
On his blog, OcBody plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia wrote: "Marie Osmond has done a whole lot more than just losing weight. The Nutrisystem spokes model did an interview with Prevention magazine recently and apparently said she would likely have plastic surgery. She didn't say much about the surgery she's already had," adding: "Looking at this image from 2007 compared to the more recent one, she's had a bunch of facial work…probably a facelift, forehead lift, and eyelid surgery to be conservative. She's likely had some body work as well. It looks good but she's not talking about it."
